Can I buy tickets at the door?
Unless there is a special circumstance, tickets must be purchased prior to the event via Eventbrite. We will not have tickets available at the door.
Do I need to print off my tickets?
You can either print off your tickets or show them on your phone. If you do not have proof of purchase, you will not be given entry.
Can I bring carts or other means to transport my books?
Of course! All we ask is that you are careful to not strike any other attendees with your carts.
Will there be models at this event?
We do expect to have some models at our event. Please make sure that you are courteous to those who chose to attend. We will not tolerate anyone who gropes, inappropriately touches, or derogatory remarks made to any attendee, model, or author. If this happens, you will be asked to leave and will not be refunded. We have a zero tolerance policy for any form of harassment.
Are children under the age of 18 years old permitted at the event?
Due to the nature of some of the books, banners, and swag material, we do not advise children attend this event. However, we leave that up to the discretion of the parents. Children over the age of 10 are required to purchase a ticket for entry.
Will there be food or drinks available?
Water Stations will be available throughout the ball room. Food will not be available. We advise eating prior to the start of the event or bringing your own snacks.
I have ADA accommodations. What processes are in place for accessibility?
Yes, our event space is ADA compliant. We’ve ensured that there is adequate space for guests who require mobility assistance. The aisle ways between rows of tables are approximately 5 to 6 feet wide at a minimum, allowing for easy navigation with wheelchairs, walkers, or other mobility devices. If you need additional assistance or accommodations, please reach out to the Indy Author Event Team via e-mail.
What time does the event start? When can I enter?
The event runs from 12:00 PM to 4:00 PM.
VIP ticket holders may enter at 12:00 PM for their bonus hour of signing time.
General Admission ticket holders may enter beginning at 1:00 PM.

Will there be sexually explicit content on display?
Indy Author Event features a wide range of genres—including many types of romance—from sweet and wholesome to steamy and taboo. It's very likely that some table displays, swag, book covers, and banners will include sexual content or imagery. We do not censor our attending authors or vendors.
